DESCRIPTION
This is a US Air Force (USAF) command pilot combat jungle tunic. Slant pocket. Early type with the Poplin construction. As issued near the beginning of the Vietnam war. In very good condition. No tears or holes. Complete with theater mad patches. Including the rank (major), Command pilot wings, US Air Force and name tag (Bluhm). Comes in the harder to find large short size. Retains both original tags. The command pilot wings were instituted in 1941 just after the senior pilot badge. Initial criteria for this rating was 15 years of flying service and 2000 flying hours.
